ROFSIP2016OS5A10P02 “Reducing the amplitude of human trafficking through better information of citizens“

Project Presentation

The National Agency against Trafficking in Persons (ANTIP) signed on 30.06.2017 the non-reimbursable financing contract related to the project ROFSIP2016OS5A10P02 “Reducing the amplitude of human trafficking through better information of citizens“, which takes place at national level, for a period of 41 months.

The project is financed by the Fund for Internal Security – Police Cooperation Component, having as general objective the increase of the degree of information and awareness of the population as a whole and of the risk groups regarding the implications of human trafficking.

Thus, the project aims to develop information campaigns in order to reduce the demand and supply associated with all types of exploitation, combat stereotypes and prejudices targeting victims of human trafficking and increase involvement in activities to prevent opinion multipliers.

The activities within the project are:

  • Documentary production, TV and radio spot (for the campaign to prevent trafficking in human beings for the purpose of labor exploitation, sexual exploitation and begging);
  • Production of radio campaign materials (for the campaign to prevent trafficking in human beings for the purpose of labor exploitation, sexual exploitation and begging);
  • Event to launch the campaign to prevent human trafficking for the purpose of labor exploitation, sexual exploitation and begging;
  • Courier services informative materials related to the campaign to prevent human trafficking for the purpose of labor exploitation, sexual exploitation and begging;
  • Billboard promotion services for the campaign to prevent trafficking in human beings for the purpose of labor exploitation;
  • Organizing round tables at county level for the first campaign to prevent human trafficking for the purpose of labor exploitation, sexual exploitation and begging;
  • Organizing prevention activities for the campaign to prevent human trafficking for the purpose of labor exploitation, sexual exploitation and begging;
  • National conferences to mark the European Day against Trafficking in Human Beings, organized on October 18, 2017, 2018 and 2019;
  • 5 Meetings of the Steering Committee, organized in Bucharest;
  • Assessment of the activities carried out within the prevention campaigns;
  • Prevention materials;
  • Project closure conference;
  • Round table.

 

Background information:

The project is financed by the Internal Security Fund, the Police Cooperation component, having a total value of 1,294,963 lei (excluding VAT), of which:

– 75% – 971,222 lei (excluding VAT) – non-reimbursable external financing from the Internal Security Fund;

– 25% – 323,741 lei (excluding VAT) – national co-financing.

The first campaign carried out within the project was the national campaign to prevent human trafficking for the purpose of labor exploitation “KNOW YOUR RIGHTS! RESPECT YOUR OBLIGATIONS! “.

 

The second campaign carried out within the project was the national campaign to prevent human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation “DESTROY THE WALL OF INDIFFERENCE! HUMAN TRAFFICKING CAN BE PREVENTED”.

 

The third campaign in the project is the national campaign to prevent human trafficking for the purpose of begging, “GIVE IT FREEDOM! DO NOT PAY HIS OPERATION! “
